@phoneboy I was just thinking about you last night, wondering if you were OK. Do you have any old friends nearby you can spend some time with?
And when will running Linux on a M1 Mac be as normal as running it on an Intel Mac?
@streakmachine That was one of my favourite Top Gear episodes. Watching Clarkson, May and Hammond having to do more car trials after hearing what had been found in them was hilarious.
How does that powerlanguage Wordle chap pay his server costs if there are no payments and no adverts?
When I realise there is a spelling error in something I've typed on the internet I feel deep personal shame. About one level down from the shame a Second World War Japanese soldier feels when he's been captured.
@matigo Livejournal did it without adverts initially before changing tack and displaying big, ugly banners for free users. The feel of the place went suddenly downhill. The earlier scheme on LJ was nice. Not only could you buy a year of being premium but you could pay for various cherries on the top, like having extra icons to upload and switch between at will. There were a few things you could buy but the details escape me now (so long ago). You could buy gifts of such rights to other users too.

@matigo Because we are undergoing a surreptitious reformation and people who shout bigot have been enabled.
