@matigo I can’t decide whether to keep the physical things after ripping. I have pouches of discs but I don’t really need them if I can trust my backup system. Books can’t be ripped, nor would I want them to be.
Been acquiring lots of DVDs and books recently. A lot more of the former to be accurate, because books demand a lot more time. Sometimes it’s nice to just be a sponge.
@matigo I think people 500 years ago are seen as The Other. The past is a foreign country after all.
@jws You had me confused for a minute there, but then I remembered you Americans run your cars on 'gas'.
@phoneboy I loved using Netscape Composer back when I.S.P.s used to give you twenty or fifty free megabytes of webspace. Lots of fun. I would never have made any websites without what you see is what you get.

@matigo Who cares? It’s a load of dross. The only good things I found on there were buy-ins from the B.B.C. like 'Parade's End'.
I wish people would get electric lawn mowers so I wouldn’t have to listen to that racket.
@matigo I’ve never understood why people use dark modes. If a room is dark I put a light on. If I can’t do that I reduce screen brightness and I get effectively the same experience I had before the room was dark. There must be something about it I don’t understand.
