I may as well throw out my Tamara de Lempicka biography. I’ve had it for about fifteen years without reading it. I did read a few pages one time but got distracted by nicer things. It didn’t seem like a very engaging read and the more I thought about it, the more I concluded I wasn’t interested in her bohemian, shagging around life. One plus point for the book is that it’s littered with photos throughout. Usually you only get photos in the dedicated glossy section. This has lots of photos printed on the normal paper. More books should do this.
I do have one of Lempicka’s prints. But even that’s languishing in a cupboard. I should emancipate it.
