@jws The worst thing is when apples come 10,000 miles (New Zealand) and are coated in a slimy, waxy substance to keep them ’fresh’. They feel like a builder’s facial skin after a sweaty day’s work. It might be harmless but it’s off-putting. I won’t eat ’em.
