@streakmachine When I used BeOS there was an app that was included with the OS called 'Poorman'. It was so-called because it was a poor man’s web server. It was unbelievably simple and basic. You simply placed your html files and other files in a particular folder and made sure computer was on and 'Poorman' was running and told people your I.P. address. I never used it, other than to do a quick test. The reason I didn’t bother with it was because I didn’t have a spare—and quiet—P.C. to run all the time and often had a dynamic I.P.. I also changed I.S.P. a lot back then. I still like the idea of a web server for idiots.
