@sumudu If it was me, I'd just tell her I'd ordered two by mistake and say 'do you want one as a birthday present? It's the blue one'. You could still take her out for a meal on her birthday and give her a small surprise present (maybe some fairly inexpensive dress jewellery). But she's you wife, you know what pleases her and what displeases her.
