Finally got it to attempt a charge. The alignment is very finicky, unlike with the 12 mini 🤷‍♂ . But the 15W wireless thing just maintains the battery level and no more. Same story with the 10W wall adapter that came with the 12 mimi—just maintains the battery level. The 33W Anker wall adapter however, does charge the 17 Pro Max quite well. So I may get another one of those so I have one upstairs and one downstairs. Or maybe I’ll keep looking for a stronger wireless one. Strongest I’ve seen so far is 25W. That might be tolerable, but if alignment is going to be irksome, I’ll stick with wired. Finicky alignment defeats the purpose of ditching the wire.
