That’s the first time I’ve seen the Moon moving in real time. It was low on the horizon mid-afternoon between a chimney and a tree. When I looked again a few minutes later, it was slightly behind a branch, so I sat and watched it. It took about two minutes for the branch to reach the other side of the Moon, and the Moon was moving diagonally upwards, not just horizontally.
