@phoneboy I didn't want to say it in case it sounded like casting aspersions on anyone who prays but I sometimes think praying is more about the praying person than the object of prayer. But calling it meditation seems like a good analysis if you're shutting out all distractions for a minute and concentrating on one necessary thing. Crossing your legs and touching your thumbs against your middle fingers and saying om is considered cool in some quarters, but placing your hands together and praying isn't. Why so?

@matigo The whole thing is a bag of hurt. I'm getting near the end of my tether with modern tech. I've been looking at quirky, stupido phones like Punkt/Sunbeam/Lightphone etc. But I need to work out what I can live with and live without vis-a-vis apps and that's harder than it should be.
@matigo For that amount I could probably get in iPhone X or XR brand new from a reseller over here. But iPhone prices are high in Japan aren't they?
