@matigo That code is longer and more complex than I would have expected, but then I don’t understand any of it.

I opened the wheelie bin lid—the recycling one, not the smelly one—and there was a menagerie of slugs around the rim. Several little ones and one big fat one. Never seen this before. It’s been very dank in the last two weeks; that might have something to do with it. There must be a gap between the two bin lips allowing them to rest in a wet warmish crevice.
@matigo Two things I didn’t know there: that Japanese and Korean don’t separate words and that each post here has individual words stored in a table. The first thing is almost beyond my ken; it sounds so alien to me. The second thing makes me realise you could rank us on the size of our vocabularies, which might be interesting. Though those who only do short posts and don’t blog might be at a slight disadvantage.

@matigo He actually used that argument the other way around, claiming that we don’t have (proper) canines and if we found a dead animal we wouldn’t be able to tear into it with our teeth and eat it – we'd have to cook it.
Nice visit from one of my favourite nephews today. You know how you dread some people coming but look forward to others coming? It’s like that. Mind you, I wasn’t much impressed by his 'humans were never meant to eat meat' arguments.
