Chiefly British

Bought a 2015 MacBook two or three weeks ago. The twelve inch one that’s smaller and lighter than a MacBook Air. 1.2Ghz/500GB. I’m trying to reserve judgement for now because it takes months to really get a settled view on such things. Preliminary thought is that they’ve done a pretty good job of combining what’s good about laptops with what’s good about iPads. (I got a space grey one…to reflect my toxic masculinity obviously).

How did I manage to not see the 1980 British film 'Breaking Glass' before. It's quite good. It's a musical. Hazel O'Connor plays an anti-establishment punk singer who gets discovered and sells out. It all goes wrong. O'Connor wrote and performed the entire soundtrack herself. Seeing British films from that period tends to induce a bit of nostalgia in moi.

@matigo I have a weird fondness for cephalopods just because they’re such amazing creatures. So for that reason I feel reluctant to eat them.
