Until recently I would always have said Spring, but I think I'm starting to like Summer more.

'After a year of war, Kupol, a [Ukrainian] lieutenant colonel, said his battalion is unrecognizable. Of about 500 soldiers, roughly 100 were killed in action and another 400 wounded, leading to complete turnover. Kupol said he was the sole military professional in the battalion, and he described the struggle of leading a unit composed entirely of inexperienced troops.'

A one hundred percent casualty rate is not very effective in war. It is very effective at depopulation and psychological scarring though. I remember last year, someone saying that one of America's secondary aims (if the primary aim of chopping up Russia didn't work) was to ensure that the relationship between Russia and Ukraine was ruined forever so that Moscow could never re-unite with Kiev. The countries of West Asia have experience of this tactic of the Westerners….but they are starting to wise up if recent changes over there are anything to go by.

In the eighteenth century, pastry wasn’t part of a meal; it was just a container for food. Leftover pastry was given to servants.

Most of them look like they'd be riddled with mosquitos, sandflies, midgies etc…

If the worst comes to the worst we can always flee…become the boat people…haha.

Did I type that correctly? Is it 'worse comes to the worst'?

What it is, is evil. I saw an amusing graphic on the Internet that said 'Satan's native tongue is Gaslight'.

Implications of the National Health Service Long Term Plan and Mental Health Implementation Plan for the British public.

I tried to copy and paste the list of forty-seven items but the numbers weren't being copied and it looked weird so I'll just give the link. I had initially typed some extreme language to accompany this but then removed it. I'll just let you draw your own conclusions:

I wonder if any country will follow Russia in ditching the Bologna Process (of education).

Andrei Martyanov:
'This is a strategic decision and I applaud it. I knew it was coming, because Bologna System is largely a fraud and provides an extremely low level of education and professional development. It is time for it to be removed and this decision has been made for Russia. […] this was a huge development in itself, not to mention a proper reorientation of humanities field in both lower and higher education to traditional values, true humanism and tradition.'

Let us know if it's good.

The factory processed stuff can can have ridiculous amounts of sugar in it. Perhaps that’s the problem….A piece of fruit or a homemade cookie might be more tolerable.
