@matigo The contestant answered 'bears'. At least he didn’t give the worst answer. I’m visualising a battalion of 6,000 seals wriggling their way forward through the Karelian forest.
T.V. quiz question today:
'In the Second World War, the U.S.S.R. mobilised a battalion of 6,000 of which animals to the Karelian front?
A reindeer
B seals
C bears'
On what flaming planet could it possibly have been B or C?
@phoneboy Those things used to make a big difference over her but the government kept whittling away at the allowances until they stopped amounting to much. Sounds like they are still a big deal over there.
Mmm. Police have battered down a door to a flat across the road. Took them quite a while to get in, which implies the door was strengthened. Mmm.
@matigo Sometimes it’s that and sometimes it’s specific changes that pee me off. The thing is, after a while, I forget what change it was that gave me the bee in my bonnet.

@phoneboy It’s because of problems like that, that I no longer use photo ‘libraries’. One gets trapped. Moving away becomes daunting. I’m currently using an app called ‘Duplicate File Finder’ from Nektony. It’s really good. As well as handling exact copies, it has some features to help you with similar folders and similar files. It does let you triage photos in Apple’s 'Photos' as well, though I’ve not tried that because I’ve never used 'Photos' on this machine. Problem is…. the app’s free trial only lasts two days. Might be good for you though because the 'Photos' triaging feature works in the free version and it works on similar pics as well as exact copies.
