I can’t blame you. When you search the Internet, it searches back at you. Or at least it did before the tech companies decided to narrow it.

A nice way to die, especially if there are mushy peas and lashings of vinegar…

Totally agree, but I don’t know a better alternative searcher.

In DuckDuckGo, if you search for a currency symbol (I’ve not tried obscure ones) and tap on the ‘Currency’ heading on the right, you get a little converter with one unit of that currency inputted. You could bookmark this page for future reference. Alternatively, you can search for say $17 and go to the ‘Currency’ heading and have that value pre-filled. The rates seem to be from the previous day, so this is for people who don’t need precision and don’t want to install yet another app which costs money…or is free with shitty adverts or uses up space on their old, chock-a-block device.

Yeah, lots of things are technically possible. But they’re not always a good idea.

I can’t decide whether to keep the physical things after ripping. I have pouches of discs but I don’t really need them if I can trust my backup system. Books can’t be ripped, nor would I want them to be.

Been acquiring lots of DVDs and books recently. A lot more of the former to be accurate, because books demand a lot more time. Sometimes it’s nice to just be a sponge.
