@matigo I don’t know. Did it always?
@sumudu That’s pretty good if you ask me. Perhaps Emirati life has spoiled you ;-)
@streakmachine I wonder if I should have a standalone TBC. Apparently they’re hard to come by.
@matigo I don’t understand what I see on your profile. Why January 01 to January 08 for posts?
Mind you, I probably wouldn’t recommend this set up. These old DVD recorders are flaky. Mine doesn’t work half the time. It tends to work for a couple of hours at a time, then I’ll try again the next day.
@matigo When Iomega brought out a slimline ZIP drive that was powered by USB and needed no power brick I got one of those. 100MB per disk…haha 100MB.
My VHS digitising set up: high quality Panasonic S-VHS video recorder (with TBC, noise reduction and sharpness control) and legendary JVC DVD recorder. Legendary because just a handful of DVD recorders exhibit such exemplary processing and encoding of video. I record in XP mode which gives me 10MBps bitrate but only one hour per DVD. You can then rip the disks with MakeMKV if you want.
