@matigo Why would anyone not want nice speakers in the house? Does it have something to do with person B not wanting to listen to person A's music?

@jws Thanks. That doesn’t sound too bad. A bit more cognitive load but what’s new?
Thoughts:
•It was the Samsung T7 Touch that got me thinking about this and it’s non-Filevault encrypting probably won’t work with this method.
•I prefer SuperDuper! to CCC, so I’ll have to look into that.
•Looking at things in-the-round, I should probably use the method in the linked article with a normal SSD (the non-touch T7?) and use a T7 Touch for a non-system backup.
We’re back to above the-freezing-point-of-water temperatures today. It’s bloody brilliant. It’s like I woke up in a different country—a much more comfortable one.
@matigo I’ve known women who are sensitive to noise as well. But they don’t seem typical…

@matigo I never encrypt my files but I think it’s about time I started. Having your system backup bootable is so incredibly handy…but I can probably manage without that; just need to rethink my backup/restoring schema a bit.
@matigo I need to do some research. Might have to give up the idea of main machine backups being bootable.
@sumudu A lot of women are OK with noise and commotion. They often prefer it. They like the human voice. A lot of us men like to get away from it, hence the potting sheds. In fact, it almost drives us mad sometimes doesn’t it? 🙂
