Yeah, my brain played a trick on me. I have an old 24” one at 25.4lbs. A more recent 21.5” one would be half the weight. I do think 21.5” is a little stingy for a desktop though.

Mine is on one of those very narrow desks with castors. The thirty pound iMac on top makes it very top heavy and tricky to budge when you need to fiddle around the back of the printer etc. which is on a shelf below.

I wish they could find a way to make iMacs less heavy…but I suppose the quality is in the weight. And I’d like to see a substantial design change; it’s been essentially the same for aeons.

Good idea. I should do that. Many years ago when I had multiple drives and partitions mounted on my desktop I’d give them names like Ocarina and Rainstorm.
