@streakmachine I always liked the all silver machines. Still do. When they were current, it was a stretch to afford a low-end white iBook, let alone a PowerBook. I never did get to fondle one. But I’ve moved on now. And I don’t know why Apple now insists on black keys on all laptops no matter their colour. Black keyboards should be for people who work in dark rooms.
@matigo Inability to learn from years of experience is a trait in people that I find a bit shocking. Ordinarily, such people would be condemned to low status unskilled jobs…like shelf stacker.
@matigo We’re all still learning that skill. Just today I was thinking 'any given person I’m interacting with might be dealing with some horribly heavy issues unbeknownst to me, so maybe when I feel like saying something critical…I shouldn’t'. But I don’t want to go too easy on people either. It’s a balance skill.
@matigo Not shy then. That’s one box ticked. Now you can see if he will play well with others. :-)
@nitinkhanna Mmm, that’s not good. Even if they'd updated the protocol, you’d want it to be backward compatible. Probably just a bug.
@streakmachine Do you tend to put the latest supported OS on your old machines, or do you use older cats for the speed?
