I like Confucius’s comparison of educating oneself with the polishing of jade. That’s what it’s like, once you’ve gathered the basics. Too many people just go on accreting more and more clumps of knowledge throughout their lives without bothering to polish it into something sophisticated and beautiful.
@jextxadore I’ve been wondering if the groups of people waving the P.R.C. flag are people who grew up in the republic and came to Hong Kong recently, hence their allegiance, or if they’ve been secretly bussed in from over the border.
