That personage yclept @booksbybecca reminds me of someone I used to know. Very similar kind of eloquent charm. Some people say charm is an insubstantial quality. I neither agree nor disagree.
@matigo I need to read some of that stuff too. I’ve read two Nabokov novels and some of his short stories. I have 'The Gulag Archipelago' & 'Notes from Underground' on my to read list. Should probably read 'The Brothers Karamazov' too. I think I’ll avoid the epically long novels though. Really, there’s just no need for that business. 😒
