@macsnider Greetings.
@streakmachine Thanks a lot for that. ? I don’t know if it’s solved the issue yet (I think he was trying to reserve a hotel room) but the browser is running well.
@streakmachine Oh heck, I have to build it. My history of compiling is a litany of catastrophes. I wonder if your Mac mini binary would work on this 2008 Core2Duo iMac.
@streakmachine It’s an Intel machine. It has an El Capitan partition which can take the latest Firefox. But I put him on Snow Leopard because it runs his old Family Tree software and is a lot faster than El Capitan on that machine. There’s an awful lot of hard disk noise when running El Capitan as well…very annoying. I can increase the RAM from 4GB to 6GB mind you. Would still be nice to find a modern browser for SL but maybe that’s asking too much.
My dad's complaining that Safari and Firefox aren’t working properly with some websites in Snow Leopard. Safari's been a lost cause for years but Firefox is not updateable now. Does anyone know of a Snow Leopard browser that's up to modern web standards? If not, a focus shift will be required.
@matigo Same here. Brilliant sunshine too. I don’t think I’ve ever known a February like this.
I was shocked to hear the word 'mingebag' used on a soap opera today. You can’t say that on Coronation Street for God's sake. What next…'twatface'?
