Listening to gothic metal. I didn't know there was such a genre.

At Southampton hospital they've started putting some patients through a nine week exercise/fitness course before major operations because the fitter you are the shorter your stay in hospital and the lower your likelihood of complications. This tallies with everything I've been reading lately about exercise. Exercise does magic inside your body.

I've had it up to here with weeds (spraying & pulling up) so I've ordered a weed burner (gas). I'm just going to scorch their souls while ambling around leisurely.

I thought getting rid of the infection would get rid of most of the pain. Obviously not. Thank heaven for occupational therapists!

I still get general foot and ankle pain but that's not fixable, that's permanent. How's you finger? Does it look like an finger or does it look like a mutation?

I'm really glad my tendon pain has mostly gone now. It was a right swine for years. With going to an exercise class last September and getting a bit of advice from a physio I've been able to condition them without incurring the setbacks I kept getting before. I can now ride my electric bike without using the throttle.

It’s a shame biscuits aren’t healthy.

Is there a plan B for the possibility of tent pitches all being taken?

After riding a few hundred yards I suddenly realised I was extremely hungry so I came back for some nosh. Going back out now. It’s lovely. Am cycling in a t-shirt.

Last time I went out on the bike the low gears were making an unpleasant noise (had to stay in fifth on steep bits). I don’t yet have a stand to work on the derailleur and I can’t put it upside down because of things on the handlebars so I took it up the street and brought a screwdriver to make mobile adjustments. Pointless though because it had already miraculously fixed itself. Strange.
