I found the car locked with the key on the driver’s seat this morning. Thankfully I had a spare. I hope I never do that away from home.

I didn’t know normal domestic lighting was insufficient for focusing for some people but I suppose if you’re used to a bright, sunny clime it must be disconcerting. I wonder if an extremely bright bulb could be used as a weapon….

Session involves no metadata and uses distributed servers. I remember having a few Jabber (XMPP) friends around the turn of the century but they were online friends, not Real World friends. If I remember correctly, Apple's first foray into instant messaging, iChat, was an XMPP client.
