@phoneboy I prefer the blues.
In fact, the general model for successful tech companies, contrary to myth and legend, is that they become distribution-centric rather than product-centric

Formatting has come out a bit weird. Looks better on Anri than on social. It started in TextEdit as RTF and went through a couple of other programmes including Notes. How can I force the numbered points to start on new lines?
@matigo No I wasn’t an amateur Spielberg. It’s a mixture of purchased tapes and T.V. recordings. All kinds. My mum once got me to record Lady Di's funeral…uh. I think there may be an old family reunion tape—that someone else made—laying around somewhere.
@streakmachine I was always a bit fascinated by Laser Disc but now we’re in the age of 4K and up I don’t want to be going lo-fi. One plus point of my digitising research was I discovered that Technology Connections YouTube channel. He's one of the few tech warblers who is engaging to listen to. Given that you’re into old things like Laser Disc, I imagine you’ve come across him.
My digitising hassle was probably exacerbated by me having thrown out the portable telly and operating blind. I didn’t know what was going on. I’m still recording blind, but I don’t care as long as it works.
Digitising V.H.S. tapes has proven much more hassle than expected. For some reason, I could get no signal coming out of the RCA/phono/AV sockets of the V.C.R. I wonder if they’re only for input?! Other people are able to use them according to YouTube; it’s just me who’s thwarted. I can only get an output through SCART. The little recording boxes don’t do SCART but I’ve acquired a SCART to HDMI adapter and finally it’s working. Really looking forward to throwing out the bulky tapes. I’ve got a massive box full of them.
