Television and film is so bad now, there’s almost nothing worth watching. The advantage of this though, is it becomes less of a time waste. Going through the appallingly stupid telly schedules is quicker and I have more time to devote to other trivial activities like YouTube.

I’ve had this idea for the last few years: emotional intelligence is no substitute for intelligence. I had perceived that some people were using the idea of emotional intelligence to make themselves or others seem brighter than they were. That they were suggesting it was as powerful as (just different from) standard intelligence. I certainly thought emotional intelligence was a good and useful thing to have; I just thought it was over-rated and over-stated.

Well, I’ve just seen a video where Jordan Peterson says that emotional intelligence doesn’t exist. He says it’s just agreeableness.
