The drive I had today was gorgeous. Expansive views from high ridges. Old, stone, cottages and farmhouses. Green pastures, sloping and bumpy. Winding, undulating lanes threaded between dry stone walls. Moor tops capped with purple ling. Lead-coloured reservoirs nuzzling in valleys.
I didn’t acquire photographs while I was driving because, well, I was driving. I took photos of the destination but I don’t think it was as attractive as the route there.
Decided to walk on the common (where the gypsies graze their horses) today instead of just walking round the housing estate. A man and his boy were doing a bit of golf.
