I seriously considered buying a firm of funeral directors but decided against it because it’s a big undertaking.
@peemee Some cameras have astonishing stabilisation these days. Namely the Panasonic GH5, Sony RX100 series and the Olympus OM-D E-M5II.
@peemee Samsung SSDs used to have problems, but apparently they’ve improved and been OK in the last few years.

@peemee Would you ever do a system backup to thumb drive/memory stick or are they too slow and unreliable?
@peemee If I was him I’d definitely pay to get it fixed, but I wonder if he is legally responsible in such a scenario.
