Part of the problem I presume, is that software has eaten the World, so huge numbers of coders are needed and can there really be that many intelligent, geek-adept people breathing? It’s like the World is suffering a shortage of semi-autistic people. We need to send gifted developers to breeding centres to gives us more clever babies. ;-)

Having said that, the developers you speak of must have passed their exams and done the relevant courses to become pros. So maybe the examiners and markers don’t have high enough standards… 🤷‍♂
