My brother thinks I have no sense of humour because I didn't like 'Deadpool' much. Rather than just shrug, he felt the need to tell me its rating on IMDB to prove he's right and I'm wrong. If it's a genre film, then people into that genre are going to self-select aren't they?

@hazardwarning If you have Windows on another machine, does it matter if you nuke it on the laptop by installing Linux?

Well, Clonezilla didn't work for me. It basically does work but once you introduce a U.S.B. drive it gets a bit awkward and unreliable. Been using dd instead. That worked well, although having an image in a single file as a backup would have been nice.
