I should test the iBook internal's read/write speeds. I think it'll be dreadful with its 4200rpm disk.
After getting my second-hand mac mini a while back, I used SuperDuper to make a bootable Snow Leopard volume on a USB memory stick because I had no Install disc.
Well, having used Xbench to test read/write speeds on the internal HD, an external HD and two memory sticks I realise the bootable volume is on the slowest. Never mind, it works and it's there just in case I need a near-fresh install. Will probably never use it, but in future I should buy better ones if booting them.
I sometimes watch a documentary more than once because I remember more of the information that way. Repetition is a powerful thing.
@matigo I use two, Newsify (with Feedly as the sync service), and Newsblur (which can be used on its own or with some other sync services). They are great on a ten inch device, can't speak for smaller screens. I should try Mr. Reader some day…looks nice.
