@phoneboy I should have realised it wouldn't work automatically. It's not like having recognisable CD tracks.

I wonder what my Canon G9X II is like in low light. With its one inch sensor and fixed lens it's probably a bit crap. But it does raw….and PureRAW is fandabbydozy at denoising so I should experiment and find out what its limits are.
Went for a short, spontaneous drive. Less than an hour. I used my black card properly for the first time to compose my photo scene. Sat on a bench, took my time and worked out the right composition instead of rushing it like I usually do. Square didn't look good, nor did wide, so I stuck to the camera's default 3:2. I'm not one hundred percent convinced by the black card though. I suggested the horizon dead in the middle would look good but back home on the computer it looked better higher up which does concur with what photography experts say.
